BFO -- Change Something
One of my recent BFO's was in regards to how I have been responding to a NQR (not quite right). I had fallen into a trap of noticing a NQR, retreating and waiting for Gunny to chew, and then doing the exact same thing that I had just done that caused the NQR. And repeating this over and over. I think that this is a pretty easy pattern to fall into because we get focused on what we are trying to accomplish.
I realized that this is just another form of making Gunny do something or making Gunny be the one that needs to change. And that it then becomes another form of dominance. It is also another form of practicing the definition of insanity, which is to do the same thing over and over again expecting a different result.
So I have resolved to retreat after I notice a NQR and to do something different the next time after Gunny chews. This may mean that I still am trying to get the same end result, just that I am trying different ways of getting it.
