Deeper Understanding -- Part 4
So the next day I went out with my new ideas based on my journaling from the day before. When it was Gunny's turn for his feed, I asked him to face a quarter turn away from the pen of new horses so he was not facing them.
When I went to approach him with the feed, I was going to go on his right side so that I would not be blocking his view of that pen at all. But he clearly put his head towards his right and told me that being on the left side was going to be all right with him. So I fed him from the left like I usually do. (I hold the feeder close and use this time to increase our bond and connection with closeness.) You can see a video of feeding time here to see what I mean.
And now it is three weeks later and feeding time has been fine since by implementing this small change.
