Amazing Posture Changes

It has been awhile since I have written. During this part of the journey it is kind of like watching paint dry. On the outside there appears to be not much happening because there is a lot of subtle interactions going on with the most basic daily things, such as feeding, caring for feet, grooming, and even opening the gate into the pasture. The proof that there is big stuff happening though is in the dramatic change that Gunny's posture has undergone since I started this work.

This photo is from before I started this work and is very typical of how Gunny has looked during his entire adult life. His spine has always stuck up a bit and been uncomfortable to sit on bareback and he has had a bump in the loin area for many, many years.

This photo was taken in the end of April, three months after starting this work. The bump in the loin area is totally gone. His spine no longer sticks up and instead his back now has the appearance of a "couch" with the muscling on either side of the spine filling it out. His flank area has relaxed and he is no longer ticklish there either.

Here I took the two photos and traced them to show the changes. It is easy to see how the change is in the topline. Also, it is easy to see that the belly is not bigger even though it just looks like he is fatter in the second picture. The changes were very dramatic, in that it was an overnight type of thing. Another interesting thing is that the topline has filled in this much with no work at all. This has all been from the trauma processing.
